The weekend after Labor has historically become Wausau’s Artrageous weekend. I’ve lived in the Wausau area since the 1970’s and for as long as I can remember, we’ve had Art in the Park which morphed into the downtown Festival of Arts which now is one of the premier art festivals in the midwest. My cousin, who is a pottery artist in the Twin Cities even talks about coming to the Wausau area for this show.

Closing thoughts

Living in a community, you often end up a little blind to what makes us special. Kim of the Surviving Oshkosh blog gives us a great outsider looking in view of our city. It’s a great read and a good reminder that we need to open our eyes to what’s around us.
