I’d like to say that the construction on Prospect Street is wrapping up, but unfortunately they only have the asphalt as far north as Thomas street. The other half of the street still looks like a warzone with piles of sand and junked out sewer pipes. While half of the residents on the street still have to suffer, on the south end, where the construction started back in June, we’ve got nice, smooth blacktop.
Unfortunately we also have a definite lack of trees. As the construction progressed, they had to remove more trees than anticipated due to the fact that many of the older trees had wrapped their roots around the underground gas, water and sewer lines. Some very old trees got the axe, the street looks a little barren, but give it a few years and the shade will fill back in.
