You may of seen the collection boxes stationed around town at area grocery stores such Trigs, Pick N Save, County Market and Quality Foods IGA. The Wausau Noon Kiwanis Coats for Kids project in in full swing. From now until the end of October please donate your gently used or new coat to help keep our youth warm. A significant percentage of Wausau area residents do not have warm jackets for the winter, so the Coats for Kids program is an invaluable program to keep our youth warm, healthy, and safe.

There will also be a staffed collection At the National Guard Armory on Make a Difference Day! Saturday, October 27, 2012. You can also drop off your coats at during Make a Difference Day.
Coats for all ages and sizes are needed. Even adult coats and jackets are accepted. Infant and toddler coats are especially in demand. Please make sure the coats are clean and in good repair.
The 2012 Coats for Kids distribution will be on Friday November 2th and Saturday November 3th at the Salvation Army Community Center at 103 S 2nd ave in Wausau. Distribution times are:
Friday November 2th: 2:00 – 6:00pm
Saturday November 3th: 8:00 – 11:00am
