Who out there would like to see some snow? I do enjoy this warm, unseasonable, weather we’re having. But for goodness sake, it’s December already; we really should have 6 inches on the ground by now. I suppose we still have the possibility of a White Christmas, but I’m not holding my breath.

Do you get Social Security, SSI, or other Federal Benefit Checks? The U.S. Treasury requires you to switch from paper checks to electronic payments by March 1, 2013. Marathon Savings Bank will be holding a Federal Benefit Direct Deposit Workshop at their Scott Street location on Saturday, December 15, 2012 from 9:00am to 2:00pm. We will have people on hand to help explain the switch to electronic payments and to help you set up direct deposit to your bank account, whether you bank with us or somewhere else. No registration required, just stop in the day of the event. You will need your personal information, as well as the amount of your most recent federal benefit check.
