Memorial Day makes for short week, but I’m glad that the ‘official start of summer’ is here. The recent rains is really making the grass grow and the leaves bud out. Now if I could only find the time to get the rest of the garden planted.

If that doesn’t scare you enough, think of it this way: One in five Americans will develop skin cancer during the course of their lifetime, and over two million people in the U.S. are diagnosed with skin cancer each year. Applying sunscreen daily is one of the easiest steps we can take each morning to prevent our chances of getting skin cancer. Now through the rest of May all sunscreens are 20% off at Dermarenwew. Protect the health and beauty of your skin. . .

River District Theatre

Our local theatre company, the River District Theatre, is hitting the big time in New York City. Their one man show, titled Naked Darrow is making its national debut Off Broadway on June 5th. The play, written by Gary Anderson and produced by the River District Theatre is an exploration of the life and thoughts of early 20th Century labor attorney Clarence Darrow as his mind slips into madness. Look for the River District Theatre to return to Central Wisconsin in July for their performance of Lovers and Patriots.

Closing Thoughts

Does the high cost of gas got you down? How about those pesky parking tickets that seem to collect on the car windows downtown. Biking to work not only saves gas, but keeps you healthy, and eliminates the need for moving your car every two hours. Sprocketz Bikes has some great commuter bikes that not only are affordable, but are very comfortable to pedal.
