Eyeglasses and Broken Glass
I’m really pumped from today’s Local Business Roundtable meeting. This morning we had a record attendance of almost 40 people, networking and sharing their business experience. Today’s topic “What’s your social media profile” generated lively discussion about the importance of social media, and its effects on making business connections. I think everyone is in agreement that it’s important to have some type of social profile, but how your profile gets pressed into service can vary wildly on your age, demographics, and even target business prospects. I hope you can join us next month, for the first time ever our networking group is going ‘on the road’ and will be meeting at the Woodson House of the Marathon County Historical Society. Please join us on Thursday, March 27 at 7:30am for networking and an always lively discussion of a pertinent business topic.

Common question I receive is: “How do I build more traffic for my website, blog, Facebook page, etc.” The answer is through integrated marketing. Integrated marketing is a fancy way of saying, don’t put all your eggs in one advertising basket. But instead use a coordinated approach of email, web, social, and direct methods to promote your business and drive traffic. River District Theatre
This weekend is the final Wausau performances of the River District Theatre’s 2104 season opener: Convict Race: Lucasville. In the tradition of the play, The Exonerated, comes Convict Race: Lucasville. However, unlike the former death row prisoners in The Exonerated, the subjects of this play are still struggling against injustice and are still sentenced to be executed. It was written with the cooperation of the men who were sentenced to death for their alleged roles in the 1993 uprising that rocked the prison in Lucasville, Ohio. Backstage.com, New York City … “Both dramatically and societally, Lucasville honors its mission.” See it at their new venue: St Paul’s United Church of Christ in Downtown Wausau this Friday and Saturday evening and Sunday afternoon.
