Just look at those Tomatoes

Garden-Tomatoes-rainOur garden is in full bounty mode. Although a wetter than average June and cooler than average July has slowed things a bit, our tomatoes are being super productive. The key to this year’s bumper crop was redoing the garden with some new raised beds and using Hsu’s Growing Supply’s Garden Blend soil. It was just the thing our tired dirt needed. So, when you have plenty of tomatoes, what do you eat? Why not a chef’s salad, and there is nothing better on chef’s salad than Western Dressing. Make your own, the recipe’s on the Buy Local Wausau Blog.

The Fat Bike Revolution

10447544_10152651446247048_7033688818063388145_nI’ve got a friend that’s in love with his fat bike. In fact, he’d probably marry it if he wasn’t already married. But you don’t have to go to such extremes, as Sprocketz Bike Shop in Weston now has a fat bike in stock starting at $700. What’s a fat bike you ask? It’s like a mountain bike but with super wide four inch tires. Imagine floating on the sand or snow while pedaling away- yep you can do that with a fat bike. Check out these bike at Sprocketz and keep cycling all winter long.
