Fall-Color-Wausau-Dudley-TowerIs it just me or did the leaves suddenly change over the last two weeks. I’m sad that the peak of fall was last weekend, but was thrilled with the warm weather- it gave me the opportunity to ride in Merrill’s Colorama Bike Tour. The colors were totally amazing as we pedaled out of town, heading north on Hwy 107. I was captivated by the colors are our group slowly inched up Irma hill, and then sped back south through Gleason and finally Merrill. I don’t think I could have found a better way to spend the day celebrating the season.

Northstar Cleaning and Restoration

Dropping my son off at school this morning, I saw a furnace filter sitting on the curb with the trash that was as black as it could possibly be. This reminded me that I need to change my filter before starting the furnace this heating season, as a dirty filter is not only bad for your health, but also can damage your furnace. Along those lines, have you cleaned your furnace ducts this year? Routine cleaning and maintenance of your heating system will lower your energy use and improve the quality of air in your home. Now’s the time to get it done before you have to turn the furnace on for the year. Northstar Cleaning and Restoration is ready to put that fresh healthy feeling back into your home, give them a call today.

Wausau Police Department

October is domestic violence awareness month. Due to recent incidents in the NFL, domestic violence has become a topic that is being discussed by many. Domestic violence is not a new issue and has been occurring for a very long time. We need to remember that domestic violence occurs in every neighborhood. Domestic violence knows no social class, race or religion. Domestic violence will not end until we make it a priority in our society. Everyone is affected by domestic violence.
