The topic of discussion for our October Local Business roundtable was area networking opportunities. There is a wide variety of networking groups in the Wausau area- our roundtable is certainly not the only game in town. I think many people were caught by surprise by the breadth of opportunities available. Moving ahead to November, please join us for our next Local Business Roundtable, to be held on the 3rd Thursday, on Thursday November 20th at 7:30am.
For our October meeting, we will talk about Volunteering. Volunteerism is alive and well in the Wausau area. Be it with a church group, school, Scout troop, or one of the fine non-profit organizations in our community. There are plenty of opportunities available to ‘give back’. Not only is volunteering good for the community- it also opens the door to networking. Which groups are you involved in? Which ones would you like to learn more about? Come to our meeting on on Thursday November 20th and get an overview of what’s available.
Bring business cards, flyers, coupons, and other promotional materials to share. We typically have 35-40 people attend each month. We’ll have a table set aside for handout materials. Also be prepared to give a short (45 second) introduction, or elevator pitch, of your business. Breakfast (continental) is on us.
