I’m (still) dreaming of a White Christmas

Frost-Covered-BarnLast weekend’s fog and rain really did a number on the snow cover in our area. It makes me wonder if Santa will be able to run his sleigh with the measly amount of snow on the ground. But it takes a little more than a bit of brown earth to get me out of the holiday spirit. In fact, probably one of the best things that give me the ‘Christmas Cheer’ is my annual trip to the Domino Bar for a Tom and Jerry.

Financial Fiduciaries

There is a well-known saying that the only things certain in life are death and taxes. As 2014 draws to a close, we know all too well that taxes are a certainty we can expect at the onset of the New Year. With that in mind, if you are taxed on total income, now is the time to talk to your advisor about what to do with any capital gains or losses in your portfolio. Northern Air Merchant Services

Reading and understanding your card processing statement can be challenging! So you chose your merchant services provider because the agent wowed you with this great rate that will save you a bundle on your card processing fees. You open your statement and you have no idea if you are getting the quoted rate or not, because it seems to be in some language handed down from the ancient aliens that landed here 4000 years ago. You give up and hope beyond hope that what you were told is true. Am I right? You have done this whether you like to admit it or not. Don’t worry you are not alone and I have heard it a million times, “I have no idea what I’m paying, I can’t make heads or tails from that statement!” Today I will cover how fee structures are comprised and hopefully give you a few tips on what to look for on your statement. Closing Thoughts

So, what do you do with the kids over the winter break. I know that there’s only so much of them I can take before I need to send them outside. So instead of having them try to scrape up what remaining snow we have to make a snowman, how about sending them over to the Marathon County Public library for one of the winter break activities they have planned. There’s plenty of to do for both teens and the younger set. Read more on the Buy Local Wausau Blog.
