Jimmy the Groundhog had a bone to pick with the mayor of Sun Prairie. As the oversized rodent gave his prognostication, he also managed to bite the mayor’s ear. I guess being hauled out of my burrow in sub-zero weather to then see my shadow would make be ornery too. It sounds like we’ll be experiencing six more weeks of winter.
But don’t let the winter blues get to you. Despite the brief cold snaps, the weather has been quite moderate. There’s plenty of opportunity to enjoy Winter: skiing, snow-shoeing, and even biking in the snow. Or why not look forward to spring at this weekend’s Home and Garden Expo.

Looking at the top of this newsletter, you’ll see the number 200. This week marks the 4th anniversary of the Wausau’s Local Newsletter. When I started this email, I never thought it would last so long or have such a wide acceptance.
