Closing Thoughts

Local man brightens up the night. Two years ago, bike enthusiast Pat Peckham decided to take a late night bike run, only to notice about six adult bikers riding without any lights.

That’s when the Bike Light Collection was born. It started when Peckham helped coordinate the donation of 20 bike headlights to the Wausau Police Department. So when riders were stopped for illegally riding without a bike light, police surprised them with a free light, instead of a ticket.
